Build it, then watch it play. The ROKR Magic Piano is a 1:20 scale wooden grand piano kit, 223 pieces of laser-cut wood joined by mortise-and-tenon joints, so no glue is required. The listing puts the build at about 4.5 hours. Its base is styled like a book, and the transparent structure shows off the gears inside. Once it is finished you wind the spring key under the book, and gear transmission drives the keys to play the melody "Variations on the Canon" by themselves, with no batteries. The lid folds open and closed, a prop stick holds it up, and a key cover lowers to protect the keys. The kit comes with a step-by-step manual, pre-cut wood sheets, a music movement, wax and sandpaper.
